Wow 2014 was here quick. So with a new year there are always new goals that everyone sets for themselves myself included! So one of my goals is to become a healthier and more fit person. One of my goals is to be able to run a 5k by the fall, this is also one of my bucketlist items that I did for Drew so that hopefully we can do it together. Along with all that I plan to be spending a lot of time crafting because one of my best friends will be getting married in May! Actually I have 3 friends getting married in May, so exciting. I hope to be able to post how to and ideas as I go along. Also some tips to go along with things that we have figured out because lets be honest planning a wedding is a little bit overwhelming. Speaking of which I am slowly planning my own wedding so I have been searching Pintrest finding some ideas and trying to figure out budgets, guest list, bridesmaids, and the likes.
I hope that friends and family will be able to find this blog useful in keeping up with the wedding planning and others will find it also enjoyable.

14 Bucketlist Ideas for 2014
Merry Christmas all! I hope that you have had a wonderful day. I was extremely excited to finally get to give my gift to my lovely fiance Drew and now am going to share the idea with you. A little background: I love making and giving gifts that are personal and thoughtful. This one actually took me a while to come up with all the ideas but I got it finally. This was also relatively inexpensive gift costing around $15 in materials and I was able to get everything at Hobby Lobby.
So this was the finished product:
Materials you need:
Large gift tags (in our Hobby Lobby you can find them by the Stamps)
2 sheets of 12x12 paper
Push pins
1 cork board
fabric 2/3 of a yard
glue
Step 1: Glue all the tags to the back of the paper of your choice and let them dry. After everything has dried cut out the tags.
Step 2: Mod Podge the fabric to the cork board and let it dry over night. Cut out extra fabric so that it perfectly covers the entire board.
Step 3: Attached all your cards how ever you want them and that's it!
Hope that this might help give you an idea of something to give someone special!

Gearing up for the New Year
Hello All,
Another year is about to be upon us, and with that is coming up with new year resolutions. So I am hoping to keep up better with this blog. I really always have the best intentions to keep up with the blog but as everything else time slips away. I am hoping to get a couple of tutorials up about the crafts that I have done. (really they are Christmas presents so I don't want my friends to see them all) Also I just got engaged so I will be adding things about the wedding planning process between myself and my lovely guy Drew. Oh and I have a couple of friends that are probably about to also get engaged. So hopefully lots of fun things will be coming your way in 2014!

Wedding in three months and Being Maid of Honor
So my beautiful best friend is getting married this August and they got engaged two weeks ago.. yeah a 3 month engagement. And I was so honored when she asked me to be her MOH but inside I was freaking out how I was going to make this work. Between all of my commitments this summer (like work, DG, and SWE) this was going to take up any weekends that were free. I am happy to do it of course, and one small detail she has been in France this past week while I have been trying to figure out all the details for her bridal showers and bachelorette party. I think I have the entire invites planned out (thanks to pintrest) So this blog will be me trying to get through this whole thing and giving my little tidbits along the way. As soon as I get some of my invites done I will post pics and how to.. because there is nothing more frustrating than seeing something on pintrest and not knowing how to do it. So join me on this crazy journey as I help my best friend walk down the aisle. Oh and I might use this as a motivator to get in shape because I do want to look awesome in all those pictures. So today started my couch to 5K training. I was able to complete day 1, and that is the hardest thing right getting started?
All the love,
Christina

21 day Challenge
How's it going with your New Year's resolution?? On my previous post I put what mine were on the previous post and this is going to be an update on how it is going.
So for the 1. I am working on eating healthier and cooking at home. The cooking at home this week worked out just ok. I had the best intentions but with still being a full time student and a super heavy work load this week it didn't go quite as according to plan. Baby steps thought right?
The working out part: So I have recruited my best friend to help me with this. We decided that we are going to get up at 6 am and go to the gym to work out about an hour ( I have to leave by 7) and do different workouts. So since we have an awesome fit that we can use since we are students what we do is we go and walk around the track for about 15 minutes and then either use the elliptical or the bikes. I also discovered a cool ab machine thing so I think I am going to try that out also :) We are wanting to do that on MWF and then on Tues Thurs use the pool and do some swimming laps and after use the sauna for about 10-15 minutes. (this one we couldn't do yet because they have had the pool closed. So by 8 am I am really needing the cup of joe :)
To keep trying to mix it up we are doing this water aerobics class on Tues, a belly dancing class on Wednesday (this one was so much fun but defiantly take friends with you) and on Saturdays when I am here I will do Yoga (which was super hard)
The main thing for me is I like routine but need to mix it up so we are going to try this for 21 days!! This is 21 days of working out (not including days that you skip) to see if we can form a habit. You can do anything for just 21 days right? I am already at day 4 and I am so excited that I don't want to quite now. You can do it if you are having trouble just say I am going to try this for 3 days.. after those 3 days say I am going to try for another 3 days. Then you will already be at day 6 easy right. I believe in you and good luck let me know how you are doing!!

New Year 2013
Well we are here again at another New Year with everyone ready to start their resolutions.. well probably by now people are already giving up on their resolutions again. So this year I didn't want to have resolutions or things that I was just going to fail and not be able to stick to it. So instead I am going to just call them goals.. they just make me feel better. So I have been taking these past couple of weeks trying to figure out how (and what) my goals are going to be. So what are my goals??
1. To be healthier.. not just skinnier not whatever the magazines are coming out with is the newest thing and what I should be looking like.. just healthier. I want to be able to get up have energy and feel good about myself. So this will be a long process but I have 11.5 months before the end of 2013 so plenty of time right? So how will I accomplish this... well that's a good questions so what I am going to try first is working towards doing a 5k as a goal again. SO I am going to follow the coach potato to 5K... which I actually found on Pintrest but you can Google it also and find it. Luckily I have recruited my best friend into helping me with this so hopefully (and knowing her) she will help me stay on track.
2. Being crafty: I love to craft and make things and some how never have the time to do it. Well that is going to change with 2013! I looking forward to celebrating all of the holidays (and even those holidays that really aren't holidays like Dr. Seuss Birthday because that is just fun) I am also planning on posting my fun projects here on the blog to share with everyone.
3. Spending Quality time with friends: So friends are important to me but sometimes with my crazy schedule I just don't make the time to spend time with them. So now I am working to do more with friends that are important to me. Since I want to also do a lot more scrapbooking and most of my friends are crafty also I have got a little group together to start scrapbooking (so I can get that done) AND spend time with friends. Perfect right making two of my goals come together into one.
So what are your goals? Are they fun things that you just want to try or serious Let me know and I will (try) and keep you updated on how it's going with my goals.

Merry Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all. I know it has been a really long time since I have posted anything but I am going to put it in as my New Year's Resolution. Christmas is a time that you can really sit back and reflect on how your year has been. The things that we have accomplished and maybe the things that didn't go quite our ways. Time to spend with family and friends or time to spend curled up watching your favorite movies. However you are spending your Holidays I hope that it is wonderful. Merry Christmas again!!!
